Just an obvious idea to have a (magnified) button, editor sort of icon editor with the program.
Just for getting the buttons right the first time.
An other idea: a color to grayscale convertor to work with 4 or 16 grayscales ?
Just firing thins at random here.
And yes it is a very nice utility.

Dear GSE users,
(not too many of you yet, it seems!)
IŽll be away for a business trip and my summer vacation for some time. DonŽt worry, IŽll be back by mid august, and I am looking forward to answer your questions then!
Have fun, take care,
Karsten

You kind of answered the question about other people's mistakes...if others had done work with PSP and had problems, why would I want to repeat them when you little program solves them! Thanks, can't wait to use it.

Ciao, Mike,
Sure. Any (most) image editors will do. Its just not easy to get all those button images pasted at the right place, and to asssign the right colors to the pixels at the upper left. And these kind ofprograms like the excellent Paintshop Pro do not provide a preview of your design. My little tool does, and it helps with the arrangement of buttons and colors. I am aware that there are some differences between the actual skin on the pocket pc and the preview in GSE, but I am working on it, and even now I think the preview helps a lot - you can see the skin evolving while you compose it.
I didnŽt understand your point of not repeating someone elseŽs mistakes. Could you explain?

Karsten,
Can't I just use an image editor like Paint Shop Pro and just stay within the size restrictions? I just downloaded Gigabar and don't want to repeat someone else's mistakes.

Hi, Duncan,
if you refer to my program Gigaskin Editor, the reason is simple: it is a program for your desktop PC, and requires Windows 95, 98 or NT (not tested). The screenshots *LOOK* as if they show a Pocket PC or handheld, but the program only mimicks the Windows CE screensize. Sorry for the confusion. Just execute it on your desktop PC, and it should work fine.

I downloaded GigaEdit with dreams of creating all my own skin creations on the train on the way home from a hard days toil, but no.
As soon as I select the GigaEdit exe the E105 hangs and I have to reset and then on/off several times to get it to respond!!
Any suggestions.
